Hanami, or cherry-blossom season, in Japan is one of the most amazing times of the year. Since first coming here, it’s been a time of the year to relish getting the camera out.
Across Tokyo, across Japan, there are some spectacular places to see cherry-blossom. In our neighbourhood of Omori, Tokyo, the display is always amazing and it’s great to get outside and spend some time in the local community as the weather starts to warm up.
This gallery has a few shots from the years I’ve witnessed hanami here in Japan. It’s by no means all of my shots or even all of my best shots. As I get more into updating this website, I’ll get some newer posts up and also write something that attempts to do the whole spectacle of hanami proper justice.
